A big thank you to everyone who helped make the holiday's such a success for Inland Valley Hope Partners! We were able to adopt 104 families through our Adopt-a-Family program as well as serve over 6,000 people in our food pantries in the month of December!

Sephora conducted a food drive and collected over 40 boxes of mac 'n cheese for Inland Valley Hope Partners. Thank you!

Gift basket decorating event at the Sova Center for Thanksgiving. Eva Salazar and the Thanksgiving Committee collected over 600 boxes for the hungry.

Senator Gloria Negrete McLeod with members of the Hope Partners Staff. She donated over 20 turkeys for Thanksgiving - big thanks!

Burnside and Phipps, On a Mission

Hello all,
Patrick here, your friendly neighborhood Volunteer Coordinator, to talk about some outstanding volunteers. While perusing the San Dimas Food Security Center last week we had the pleasure of meeting Jackie and Nicole Burnside. They were hard at work accepting donation and allocating goods to clients.

Jackie and Nicole were aided by two Boy Scouts from troop 411, Jonah and Tristin Phipps, who are completing their Citizenship in the Community Merit Badges (though they are volunteering almost 10 hours over the badge requirements). The two pairs of siblings made a dynamic team of volunteer super heros, diligently fighting hunger and social inequity. We would like to salute the four of them for committing their valuable time to hope.

Nicole Burnside is in final year at Cal Poly Pomona, and plans on pursuing a career in real estate appraisal. Jackie Burnside is just starting her higher education at Citrus College.

Inland Valley Hope Partners would like to give the Burnside and and Phipps siblings their highest praise: five golden spoons!

University of Pheonix

Hello all,

Inland Valley Hope Partners has taken full advantage of the University of Phoenix Internship Program. We have almost half a dozen U of P individuals working diligently to fulfill their non-profit credits. Most of these individuals are working in our Administrative offices, though a few have expressed an interest in working at the book security centers. There will, undoubtedly, be more to come because the program lasts for only ten weeks. This may sound like a short time, but with a constant influx of new interns Hope Partners will be able to take advantage of a huge variety of backgrounds and experiences.

Inland Valley Hope Partners looks forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with University of Phoenix!

Hope and the Future

Welcome to the first to the first blog post of Inland Valley Hope Partners.

We are a non-profit that is dedicated to brining hope to the Inland Valley in Southern California. There are three volunteer run food banks (Sova, Beta and San Dimas) and a shelter (OurHouse). Inland Valley Hope Partners has tremendous longevity, having over 40 years of experience in the area. In that time we have become a collaborative of many church based, private and public organizations, who are continuously replenishing our volunteer needs. Speaking of volunteers, we need volunteers! Our food banks and administrative offices are in constant need to new volunteers. So, if you have the desire to make a change in your community feel free to contact us, or visit our website.
